REVIVECC is an independent ministry, started from a
grassroots effort of the members of the Cass City Missionary Church.
Revive is for all denominations and
promotes new life
in Christ Jesus and encourages and strengthens
those that already believe.
Revive '05 was the start and was the result of multiple
factors from different groups at CCMC.
The youth group was looking for an outreach event
that could draw high school students, and some in the
congregation were also looking at things that would
define CCMC as a church and "who we are". So, the groups
joined with the CCMC Missions Committee
that was also looking to expand the outreach budget, to fund
the first Revive. A former NBA player speaker and
musical group were scheduled Friday Night, Saturday
and Sunday morning in the high school gym.
Now ReviveCC has evolved into a
outreach ministry
to the needy in the Cass City School District. Running
a food pantry and a goods & clothing resale store. Monthly
food distributions are well attended by local families
in need
and an annual Saturday Fun Fair for kids in the spring.
The Fun Fair is the only continuing part of the
original Revive '05 event. |
